GraceWorks/ Global Partnership Ministries Associate Director
GraceWorks Alaska is looking for an Associate Director to work alongside of the President of GraceWorks/Global Partnership Ministries (GPM), Dr. Scott Kirby.
You would be actively involved in mobilization, financial management, staff management, problem solving, operations, administration, communications, development and mission planning. Affinity with our Team and Alignment with our mission is a big deal!
You would work as part of the GraceWorks Alaska Team – directed by Dr. Scott Kirby. Originally founded by Dr Kirby as a 501(3)c in 1991 as Global Partnership Ministries, Inc, we DBA as GraceWorks here in Alaska. GraceWorks hosts about a thousand mission volunteers each year in Alaska serving mostly with disadvanged kids in local city parks and mobile home parks. We also will plant a new church in the near future in the old Calvary Baptist Church facility given to us recently. All ministries and staff come under the leadership of the GraceWorks/Global Partnership Ministries Board. All board members are, or have been, active volunteer staff with Graceworks.
We possess one of the larger church facilities in the city, have a good reputation in the city gained over 16 years of ministry, hundreds of volunteers each summer to help, and literally hundreds of churches and friends who have been involved in our mission over the years. In addition to the church campus, GraceWorks also owns two houses and about 45 vehicles, trailers, and campers.
Education. College and Seminary are useful, but not required. We are more interested in leadership ability, experience, people skills, work ethic and passion for Jesus than in degrees.
Doctrine. The applicant would need to line up with the GraceWorks/GPM doctrinal statement which is accessible on our webpage found at graceworksak.com. The applicant must have a serious heart for evangelism and missions – which is the DNA of GraceWorks.
Salary and package is based upon experience, education, and giftedness. Our commitment is that we will support you and your family in a comfortable manner with the expectation of regular increases.
Personal Life. The applicant needs to know Jesus and walk with Jesus. Understanding that we have all experienced amazing grace and forgiveness in our past, there should not be things in your present life that could bring dishonor both to Christ and the mission.
Other staff needs. We are also looking for a young pastor and a contemporary worship leader for the new replant of Calvary GraceWorks church. In the near future we hope to expand the staff with a minister to the military, a community missions catalyst, a student pastor, and a director of children’s ministry.
Process and Contact. The GraceWorks/Global Partnership Ministries Board has tasked Scott Kirby as the initial contact. Give him a call at 907-440-4974 (Alaska time) or email him at gograceworks@aol.com. Scott will send you an application. If we move forward with your application, there may be other phone/Zoom interviews with Board members and/or the entire Board. The Board functions as a personnel/search committee.
Thank you for your prayerful consideration of this opportunity.
