Anchorage to Seward. This is a spectacular drive through some of the BEST that Alaska offers. It is
about 2 1/2 hours from Anchorage with no stops ... but of course you are going to stop a lot and just look!
This is a long day trip, so best not to do this on Saturday unless you have a later evening flight departure.
At the bottom I will list things that COST and things that are FREE.
Fun stops on the way
Indian Valley Mine. Pan for gold. (mile 104)
Bird Point. (mile 96.5)
Girdwood. (mile 90) This is your last gas/indoor toilet stop

Wildlife Conservation Center in Portage. https://www.alaskawildlife.org/
Turnagain Pass. Great views. Nice walks.
Canyon Creek Rest Area. Mile 70.3 on right. Great views. Toilets
Summit Lodge. Mile 45.8 on left Good food. Huckleberry ice cream
Tern Lake.. Milepost 37 on right. Great place to watch wildlife, swans, and beautiful views.
Moose Pass Village. Mile 29.4. Visit the old store on right for indoor toilet, ice cream and other goodies.
Exit Glacier Road. Mile 3.7 on right. Follow to Exit Glacier and also Seavey's Iditaride Sled Dog Tours.
Seward. Continue straight and you are there!

Small Boat Harbor. I love to walk this place. Look for sea otters around the boats.
Old Downtown walking. Check out the shops. Brown's & Hawkins is the oldest family run business in Alaska -- since 1904. Good eating places here too!
Lowell Point.. Take the Lowell Point Road (turn right at Sea Life Center) for a few miles till it deadends at the park entrance. Take a walk for a little way through the forest at least to you come to a stream full of salmon. As you drive there, watch for folks catching fish at the waterfall.

Kenai Fjords Cruise.. Stunning scenery. Tidal glaciers, whale watching, puffins, sea lions, bald eagles, sea otters, porpoises, and many many birds. Shortest cruise is 6 hours. Leaves at 11.30 and returns 5.30pm.

Fishing. Check out Seward Alaska fishing charters and Tripadvisor online. Catch silver salmon, halibut and more. Most trips leave pretty early in the morning, so you would need to drive down very early.
