What are you doing for Spring Break? How about joining us next March here in Alaska to get closer to God, meet new friends, serve the disadvantaged, and have a great time! This project is great for church groups, individuals, families – and especially students on Spring Break. It is a wonderful time to be in Alaska. Days are long, temps are not bad, and we have lots and lots of the soft white stuff!
You will be feeding the homeless, shoveling snow for the elderly, helping at the Boys and
Girls Club, packing food boxes for the homeless at Food Bank of Alaska and working with
children in local parks after school.
For fun, there will be opportunities for snowhiking in the forest, moose-viewing, possibly
mushing a dog team, sledding, and checking out the Northern Lights.
We live here in Alaska and have been doing this a long time. We have more experience
than anyone else in hosting mission volunteers. In the past six years we have hosted
more than 6,000 volunteers. Folks keep coming back again and again because they trust
us and we know what we are doing. We partner closely with local churches and church
Saturday. Arrive Anchorage afternoon/evening
Sunday. Church in a small village that was a secret World War 2 military base.
Monday - Thursday. Ministry Projects.
Friday. Arrive home.
How much? Cost of this project is $550. This includes all meals, housing,
transportation, guided sightseeing, staff hosting, airport transfers, and all the
snow ice cream you can eat! It does not include airfare. Airfares to Alaska are
great this time of year! We request that you book your own tickets arriving
and departing at the times we have requested. We also ask for a $50/pp
deposit when you send in your application. The balance is not due until two
weeks before you come.
What next? Contact Scott Kirby at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 907-440-4974.
I'll send you an application. Return that with the deposit and you are good to go.
